For our client, a provider of a wide range of services in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), is looking for a Systems Support Engineer for their offices in Limassol.

Day to day business will require the successful candidate to investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues. He/she also needs to be in position to implement, oversee and maintain the organization’s data center and clients’ hardware and software.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Provide local and remote support to customers using the company’s ticketing support system to effectively keep track, resolve and escalate issues inline the company’s SLAs
Manage, maintain and support customer and in-house infrastructure (hardware and software)
Use the company’s network management systems, environmental monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address potential issues
Monitor systems and applications and troubleshoot issues identified
Carry out in-house and customer maintenance tasks to keep operating systems, firmware and applications fully updated
Manage user and email accounts
Ensures customers’ and in-house infrastructure systems availability and reliability
Install various IT equipment and software
Ensure that logs of servers, systems, appliances, services and other components are recorded, maintained and analyzed for problem resolution, capacity planning and/or any other related activity
Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues relevant to his / her area of responsibility, within the set and agreed SLAs
Update and develop scripts and tools to improve service delivery and automation
Execute any other activities assigned to him/her that falls within and are relevant to his/her area of responsibility

Qualifications and experience required:
University/college degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field
At least 1 year of working experience with Microsoft technologies including cloud technologies (Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure, etc.), Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012/2016 (Active Directory, GPOs, DHCP, WSUS), etc.
Prior experience, knowledge or active certifications of VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, Symantec’s protection and backup/availability technologies, Veeam’s monitoring, backup and availability solutions, O365 and similar technologies will be considered an advantage
Active certifications in any of the required technology areas will be considered as an advantage
