Job Detail
This Software development company in Limassol is expanding rapidly and they are looking for a Systems Administrator with an interest in DevOps or an operations-focused developer. As a Systems Admin you will be a vital part of the Dev Teams to help define, build and drive the infrastructure and processes for the company. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining an automatic CI/CD E2E flow for a diverse set of front-ends, microservice-based applications and databases. You will be using and deploying the latest industry standards and you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring and deploying servers.

Activities and Responsibilities
Manage production environments (Hyper-V on Windows Server 2016)
Manage RavenDB, SQL Server and database management
Management of Linux server with docket containers
Configuring a pfSense firewall (when adding a host)
Support and development of monitoring and notifying on solution performance
Manage Queue-based systems
Configure and deploy servers
Manage deployments of mission critical systems
Manage and deploy microservices
Handle Release management and versioning strategy

Qualifications and Skills
Working knowledge of virtualized environments, configuration and deployment (Hyper-V on Windows Server 2016, VMware etc)
Working knowledge with Servers (Linux, Windows)
Monitoring tools i.e. Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog
Network traffic monitoring tools
Good experience with Firewalls configurations, load balancers etc
Sense of urgency and criticality
Capacity monitoring and planning
Good working experience with databases and db jobs (sql and/or no sql i.e. mssql, RavenDB)
Working experience with hardware upgrades
Clear communication, organization and planning skills
Scripting experience
Team player
Ability and motivation to learn and evolve to a devops environment
Fluent spoken and written command of English is mandatory

Additional Skills (Good to have DevOps skills)
Security-best practises awareness, implementations
Experienced with cloud migrations, implementations and tooling (i.e. AWS, Azzure)
Experience with Microservices architecture and concepts, Docker and Kubernates
Scripting experience to include Bash and PowerShell
Management of Queue-based systems
Release Management and Deployment experience
DevOps environment:
” Orchestration tools, CI/CD pipleline (i.e. Octopus, Bitbucket, Confluence, Nexus, ELK Stack,Git, Teamcity, CircleCI)
” Working Knowledge of test automation (Selenium) and Agile methodologies
” Previous experience building tools to support and improve build and deploy processes in a Linux and Microsoft .NET environment
