Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Controlling the progress of capital construction plans, compliance of the scope, terms and quality of construction and installation works, as well as the quality of the materials, products and structures used with the approved design and estimate documentation.
  • Supervising all technical issues related to the project and the construction site.
  • Managing construction schedules: by setting, reviewing and monitoring all relevant construction schedules/deadlines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Project Manager

Our client is a Construction Company who makes big scale projects in Protaras. The Shareholders are from Lebanon and they have already built through subcontractors more than 100 houses and apartments in the area. They are now looking to employ an experienced Project Manager to be responsible for the whole construction project. The Project Manager will perform civil engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of the project. Supervise main contractor and subcontractors ensuring all aspects of construction and associated processes are in compliance with project specifications and completed within planned time and budget constraints.  It is a managerial position and basically the Project Manager will be dealing with all the offers and coordination of the site. Starting date: April / May 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide civil construction quality supervision expertise
  • Monitoring progress and performance of construction contractor during the execution of work
  • Conduct daily briefing with site team leaders to follow-up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned tasks

Position Purpose:

  • Works closely and has constant contact with the architect of the project
  • Before the building permit, it requests the architectural and mechanical drawings of the project and checks them for technical optimization and cost savings (value engineering)
  • Ensures high quality supply at the best cost price
  • It implements cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity.
  • Checks at all stages whether cost, quality and implementation time are complied with
  • Ensures and proves with photographic material that the project proceeds technically and qualitatively correctly and based on the drawings and technical specifications at all important stages of development, mainly regarding hidden works, such as hidden cables etc.
  • Supervise the project development team on a daily basis, coordinate people and processes and in collaboration with department heads,  ensure that the project is delivered within deadlines/timelines and budget
  • Hold regular meetings with all departments to ensure open communication and achieve expectations throughout the project
  • In case the company will undertake the construction of the project, must then appoint an engineer and a foreman for each project
  • Appoints a Procurement Engineer and proceeds to tenders and is responsible for evaluating and selecting designers such as: Surveyor, architect, mechanical engineer, static etc.
  • Identify the necessary resources and identify the right people with the required skills to carry out the project
  • Identifies potential risks and challenges and takes the necessary preventive actions to minimize risk
  • Use appropriate systems, tools and techniques to measure project performance 
  • Uses the appropriate materials for the best quality of the project, at the least cost
  • Be informed by the Commercial Director about customer requirements and Ensures their satisfaction
  • Make changes only when it has the written approval of Development's Commercial Director

Our client, a Property Development Company, is looking for a Site Engineer to review architectural drawings and specifications, plan and execute small to medium sized single projects, or large projects in cooperation with a Senior Site Engineer, monitor and evaluate quality of works of contractors, subcontractors and Foremen on site.

Requirements:

  • Study the project drawings and the specification, identify problems/ areas for clarification, and ensure that formers and subcontractors involved are sufficiently informed. Collaborate with the Project Manager, the Architects and the consultants for the effective supervision of the works
  • Confirm compatibility of site conditions prior to the commencement of works
  • Ensure adherence to H&S guidelines
  • Prepare execution project plans and contingency plans for the construction and delivery

  • Monitor and report project progress on a weekly basis
