Job Detail
Our client is a Cysec regulated forex company and they are looking to hire an AML Officer to join their Legal & Compliance team based in Nicosia.

Responsibilities
Handle the management and execution of second line monitoring and assessment program for Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
Improve and maintain AML policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with regulatory framework put in place by local and international stakeholders
Aid in the improvement of tools to monitor, analyze, and report suspicious activity
Handle file reviews of suspicious activity to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures put in place
Identify and inform of any changes to legislation and other regulatory requirements relating to AML
Provide oversight to the operational team, which acts as the first line monitors and investigators of suspicious activity
Ensure consistent and timely feedback on cases that have been escalated
Liaise with management to develop investigative strategies
Develop and participate in compliance programs and initiatives
Provide relevant compliance reporting to ensure the completion and proper analysis of suspicious activity reports that have been conducted
Ensure detailed and prompt investigation of all AML incidents and cases
Manage the resolution of cases through internal and external communications
Maintain a proper register of all incidents reported internally and externally

Requirements
Degree holder in Law or any other relevant field
At least 3 years’ of experience in a diverse office environment
Fluency in English and Greek is a must
Additional languages will be considered as an advantage
Previous experience in AML will be considered as an advantage
Excellent use of Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Internet capabilities

Working Hours:
0900 – 1800 Monday to Friday, Role of Trust which may include overtime/weekends as part of the job
On call as and when required
